Description Food Service Retail Team Player’s Mission Take and prepare customer orders as well as expedite orders when assigned. Essential Functions - Present a positive, professional image to every customer, whether in person or over the phone. - Greet every customer who walks up to the counter. - Accurately take orders in a friendly, helpful manner, whether in person or over the phone (for pick-up orders only). - Promote Prasek’s menu items and specials through suggestive selling. - Answer the phone within two (2) rings and follow Prasek’s phone procedures. - Maintain adequate inventory of counter and drink station supplies and condiments and use proper rotation procedures when stocking condiments and supplies. - Demonstrate a sincere concern and sense of urgency to remedy any problem a customer may have and notify the Food Service Manager/Executive Chef or Team Leader/Supervisor on duty. - Know the menu so you are able to help customers with their order. - Assist any team member, including Kitchen staff, when needed. - Ensure the service counter is prepared to serve customers. o Perform tasks listed on the Opening and Closing Checklists to properly prepare the service area. o Restock trays, beepers, BBQ Sauce, condiments, utensils and other items for order preparation and ongoing as needed. - Ensure each customer order is correct and complete with condiments. according to the Prasek’s recipes and quality standards (appearance, temperature, consistency, portioning). - Properly warm, cool and store food as directed by Prasek’s recipes and quality standards. - Follow all guidelines for storing and rotating products. - Properly use POS terminal to accurately enter customer orders. - Properly activate beepers for each customer order ensuring that it corresponds to the customer’s order number. - Maintain food-handler’s certification. - Practice good personal hygiene and sanitation procedures. - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the Big H Grill (food preparation, storage and assembly). o Perform all cleaning and maintenance functions required to maintain a clean and safe service counter area and kitchen. - Perform closing and cleaning procedures as indicated on the Opening/Closing Checklist. - Ensure that all equipment (e.g., beepers, trays, POS terminal) and utensils are properly cleaned, sanitized and stored. - Perform all job duties in a safe manner. - Notify the Food Service Manager or team leader on duty of any unsafe conditions or safety violations. - Operate equipment according to proper procedures and notify manager of needed equipment repairs. - Abide by all company policies and procedures as detailed in the Prasek’s Team Member Handbook and Operating Manuals. Responsibilities
The Food Service Retail Order Taker is responsible for taking and preparing customer orders, ensuring accuracy and quality. They also maintain cleanliness and inventory at the service counter while providing excellent customer service.
