Description Therapeutic Residence for Youth ages 11-18 years of age is seeking a food service specialist to prepare and provide meals to the children. The position is responsible for all meal preparation, shopping, and coordinating of menus and organizing and rotating food. Prepare all meals ensuring all meals are nutritionally balanced. Work with dietitian for menu planning. Maintain the inventory of all food and household supplies. Receive and maintain certification in safe food handling. Teach food preparation living skills to residents once weekly. Store leftovers in a safe and efficient manner. Organize the kitchen to ensure safety and efficiency. Clean up after meals. Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); previous experience in food services preferred. ServSafe Certification Required. Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency’s population. Must have valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier. Part-time, 30 hours/week with benefits, including medical benefits.
