OVERVIEW

The Food Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations within a food service establishment. This position is responsible for ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of food service management, including experience in various dining environments such as quick service, casual dining, and fine dining.

SKILLS

  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling practices.
  • Experience in quick service & fast food restaurant settings as well as fine dining environments.
  • Proficient in inventory control and cash handling procedures.
  • Knowledge of POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on team management.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Ability to train staff effectively in culinary techniques and hospitality management practices.
  • Experience in kitchen management, including shift management and operational oversight.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes within the food industry is advantageous.
