REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the food service industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Additional Certifications: Food Handler Certificate required
  • Language: English and Italian proficiency required (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Skills and Attributes:
    Knowledge of food preparation methods and food safety regulations
    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    Business skills, including knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and inventory control
    Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities
  • Create and plan menus in alignment with customer preferences, cost objectives, and nutritional standards
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of kitchen and food service staff
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies, and ensure effective cost control measures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen and work environment, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and safety of all food prepared and served
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation, portioning, and safe food-handling practices
  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing to ensure food is prepared and presented according to standards
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, waste, sales, and labor costs
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Collaborate with management to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction
