QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 1 year food service experience
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, meet time targets, with strong organization skills
  • Solid knowledge of food preparation and handling principles, processes, procedures, policies, directives and guidelines
  • Knowledge of equipment and materials to use / operate used in food preparation areas such as grills, ovens, deep fryers slicers, steamers and knives
  • Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate
  • Successful Police Check will be required
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities
  • Prepares for and assembles sandwiches, pitas, salads, pizza, trays, hot/cold beverages, and baked goods
  • Greets customers and provides friendly and courteous service
  • Operates electronic Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Ensures recording of all cash and non-cash transactions as presented
  • Maintains the security and safe keeping of cash and related negotiables
  • Communicates when appropriate amounts of coin and bills for change is required
  • Ensures working area is kept clean before, during and after peak periods
  • Refers customer requests, concerns, or complaints to the manager
  • Identifies when short on products, food stuffs etc. to manager
  • Follows established principles and schedules (daily, weekly, monthly) of sanitation for cleaning
  • Performs dishwashing activities such as servery and kitchen items, pots, and pans.
  • Complies with occupational health and safety requirements for working safely
  • Performs other duties as assigned
