WE’RE HIRING Food Service Worker/Custodian Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (Paid vacation and sick leave, plus supplemental insurance plan) SUMMARY Assists the Director in the preparation, delivery, and maintenance of food/beverage service to Adult Day Care participants. Keeps the Adult Day Care area clean and in orderly conditions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepares kitchen and dining areas for serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and prepares coffee and tea. * Clean the kitchen and dining area following food service. * Return unused food to the main building following lunch. * Manage inventory orders for the kitchen and janitor service supplies. * Cleans refrigerator, kitchen shelves, and uses the washing machine to wash linens. Mops kitchen floors and staff restrooms, empties all trash at the end of the day. * Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent; one year of experience working with older persons, preferably with physically and/or emotionally impaired individuals in a therapeutic setting, SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
