Description

Overview The Food Service Worker performs a variety of tasks required within a food service operation including patient tray assembly / delivery, dish area, salad bar, short order cooking, cafeteria serving, re-stocking, cash register and cleaning. This position could also be assigned to the Coffee Shop or Starbucks areas to perform similar duties. Qualifications Certifications: ANSI Accredited Food Handler Training within 30 days Responsibilities Re-stock food and small wares supplies according to the established par levels.Deliver or serve patient/guest meal trays and retail food items accurately and in a timely manner.Keep retail or production preparation areas clean and sanitary using the established Public Health District standards.Follow guidelines for food handling and sanitation and ensure compliance.Prepares food and beverage requests in a timely and accurate manner.Complete dish and ware washing duties as assigned.Perform accurate cash handling for guest tray charges and retail food operations.Maintain dish room, ware washing area and tray assembly area in a clean and sanitary manner.Limit over production to minimum to control waste and food cost.Work as a grill cook as needed. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $15.39per hour - $24.93per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
