  Full Time opening. Responsible for performing patient food preparation and service, dish room operations, assistance to cook in catering preparation, service or any related task regarding patient, cafeteria, or catering food service. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Learns policies and procedures of the Food and Nutrition Service Department as it relates to food service workers’ responsibilities. * Demonstrates the ability to use, clean and maintain all necessary food service equipment. * Demonstrates working knowledge of food service sanitation and utilizes techniques in handling and serving food. * Observes and follows all safety precautions. * Learns and can demonstrate working knowledge of all therapeutic diets and texture modifications. * Prepares and serves salads, sandwiches, drinks and desserts at meal service within department standards. * Cleans all stations and work areas. * Assists with catered functions as needed. * Demonstrates proficiency with department related competencies. * Generally, performs all job duties within kitchen, Cafe, and Catering. Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
