JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as a Food Service Worker. This role is will assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables. Duties will include passing trays to patients, taking patient meal orders, and cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work stations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the dietary department or as a dietary aide is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: From $14.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Reads recipes and/or product directions.
  • Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
  • Keeps records and requisition for supplies as needed. Provides general stocking duties in service area. Transfers supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as pantry and dish room.
  • Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment following all regulatory rules and procedures. Sweeps, mops, and cleans and vacuums floors. Removes trash and garbage to designated areas. Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
  • Serves and replenishes food from counters and steam tables and breaks down stations at the end of meal periods. May be required to restock other beverage areas.
  • Interacts with customers in the serving, retail, and dining areas.
  • Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training. Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • May work on a tray line to distribute food.
  • Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
