Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated staff experienced in food services to bring joy to our resident’s day. As a Food Services Assistant your focus will be to deliver catering needs that meet nutritional and hydration needs, special requirements and preferences of our residents.

Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be:

  • Perform basic food preparation tasks and cooking basic meals.
  • Prepare, present and serve / deliver food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for modified diets
  • Plate and present food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements

You are an enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter who is eager to develop a career in aged care. To be considered for these roles, you will need:

  • Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion.
  • Previous experience working in a food services environment and/or at an aged care facility
  • Patience; common sense and a strong ethos of client service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and completed NDIS workers Orientation Modul
