At Acelero Learning Delaware, we know that nutrition plays a vital role in supporting children’s growth and school readiness. We’re seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and mission-driven Food Services Coordinator to oversee meal service operations across our centers—ensuring children receive healthy, balanced meals in a safe and caring environment.

WHO YOU ARE

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Knowledgeable about nutrition, food safety, and food service management.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • A supportive coach and mentor for food service staff.
  • Passionate about ensuring children have access to healthy, balanced meals every day.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s Degree in Food & Beverage Management plus at least 3-5 years of food services

required.

  • Experience in food service operations, menu planning, or nutrition programs required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a professional setting required.
  • Knowledge of CACFP and state/federal nutrition guidelines.
  • Pass a physical exam and background check.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in kitchen/food prep environments.

Responsibilities

As a Food Services Coordinator, you will:

  • Oversee food service operations across assigned centers, ensuring compliance with USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) requirements.
  • Develop and manage menus that meet nutritional standards and children’s dietary needs.
  • Monitor food safety, sanitation, and storage practices to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Support food service staff with training, coaching, and technical assistance to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to ensure timely supply of healthy ingredients.
  • Collaborate with center leadership to create a positive mealtime experience for children and families.
  • Collect and maintain food program records and prepare reports as required.
