TheFood Services Manager position with the Government of Ontario offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and evaluate food service operations within a secure custody facility. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for planning and administering daily meal preparation and distribution, ensuring dietary needs are met, and maintaining rigorous standards of hygiene and safety.
You will supervise and train staff, manage inventory, and collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as you will be expected to lead by example, provide clear direction, and hold staff accountable to performance and safety standards. As a Food Services Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of kitchen operations. You will also manage budgets, prepare reports, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
