JOB OPPORTUNITY: Food Technologist – Burleigh Baker
Position: Food Technologist
Location: Bakehouse, 7 Rina Court, Varsity Lakes
EDUCATION & PERSONAL SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Food Technologist in the food industry.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Research and product development team
- Conduct research to identify trends in the food industry and new technologies
- Develop and optimise food manufacturing processes and recipes
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients, sustainable and organic
- Conduct sensory evaluations and quality assessments.
- Working with our engineer to develop new processes and equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and production, to create and improve food products and bring new products to market.
- Identify and protect intellectual properties related to product formulations, processes, and innovations.
- Work with legal professionals to secure patents, trademarks, and other relevant protections for proprietary technologies.
- Design and implement training programs for staff development in areas such as new technologies, processes, and quality control.
- Evaluate and improve existing food processing methods for efficiency and sustainability.
