JOB OPPORTUNITY: Food Technologist – Burleigh Baker
Position: Food Technologist
Location: Bakehouse, 7 Rina Court, Varsity Lakes

EDUCATION & PERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Food Technologist in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Research and product development team
  • Conduct research to identify trends in the food industry and new technologies
  • Develop and optimise food manufacturing processes and recipes
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients, sustainable and organic
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and quality assessments.
  • Working with our engineer to develop new processes and equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and production, to create and improve food products and bring new products to market.
  • Identify and protect intellectual properties related to product formulations, processes, and innovations.
  • Work with legal professionals to secure patents, trademarks, and other relevant protections for proprietary technologies.
  • Design and implement training programs for staff development in areas such as new technologies, processes, and quality control.
  • Evaluate and improve existing food processing methods for efficiency and sustainability.
