Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To ensure that our policies and procedures comply with relevant food legislation and technical requirements of the multiple retailers. Maintaining up to date and auditable customers specification systems alongside Carrs own quality management systems.
The shift pattern for this role is, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.

THE MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:

  • To be a key member of the technical team.
  • Internal auditing of systems; reporting any non-conformances to the relevant manager(s) immediately.
  • Support in raw material / packaging documentation, specifications and supplier approvals.
  • Maintain accurate finished product specifications (internal and retailer).
  • To proactively investigate complaints and co-ordinate retail queries, which require technical assistance to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Maintain customer policies, codes of practice and specifications with regard to current and potential ingredient and packaging supplier control.
  • Quality assessments against agreed customer requirements.
  • Organise benchmarking exercises to comply with retail requirements and maintain up to date market analysis.
  • New product development trials and proposals are assessed to both customer requirements and site capabilities.
  • Attend customer meetings off site as required.
  • To assist with Customer and 3rd party audits.
