FOOD TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT | PART TIME OR FULL TIME | SCHOOL TERMS ONLY.

Avila College seeks an experienced and organised individual to join our Food Technology/Food Studies team to assist teachers in the College kitchens. The role involves various duties including the ordering of supplies, preparation of ingredients, as well as assisting the teacher and students during practical classes.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

To be successful, candidates will be experienced, have a highly collaborative work ethic, with a demonstrated ability to work to timelines. You will have a mature, flexible and thorough approach, enjoy working as part of a team and have good verbal and written communication. You will have a high degree of initiative, familiarity with hospitality kitchens and online ordering, as well as the ability to multi task to meet deadlines.
Prior experience working in a busy secondary school is an advantage, however candidates who are interested in working in an educational environment and who have significant hospitality or other relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
