Responsibilities
  • Sort and divert food waste into appropriate recycling or disposal streams.
  • While adhering to policies and procedures as well as regulatory compliance, load, unload, move, store, and pick products according to purchase orders on behalf of customers.
  • Execute warehouse standards, with a focus on accuracy, to achieve maximum productivity.
  • Operate powered equipment and other machinery as required in loading, unloading, movement and storage of products.
  • Safely operate forklifts to unload incoming food waste materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the unloading and sorting areas.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Accurately track and document incoming loads and diversion metrics.
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Check the accuracy of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders.
  • Perform product repacking activities.
  • Advise Supervisor of any issues that impact the productivity schedule and/or quality of the operation, as well as the health and safety of the employees.
