At Goodearth, If coffee is the heart of our business, then good food is our soul. We serve good food made from fresh and wholesome ingredients. Our Foodista runs the daily fresh kitchen and prepares our signature baking, fresh sandwiches and salads, and hot meals.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Food Preparation Worker, you will play a crucial role in the meal preparation process, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped efficiently and safely.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within the food industry is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and cooking.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes.
  • Prepare and chop ingredients for cooking, including vegetables, meats, and other food items.
  • Follow recipes and instructions in meal preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
  • Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
  • Assist with cooking tasks as needed, including grilling or baking.
  • Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
