POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate home care nurse to provide specialized foot care services in our patients’ homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing, particularly in medical foot care and a strong commitment to patient education and wellness. You will collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary clinic team to ensure each patient receives the best possible care tailored to their individual needs. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• CNO License in good standing
• Certification from an approved foot care training course or willing to obtain in-house training at a discounted rate.
• Experience in home care, community nursing, or similar healthcare setting is an asset
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Must have valid Ontario Driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• RNAO or RPNAO $2M liability insurance maintained
• Must have own medical foot care tools (rental available) or home care kit may be purchased at discounted rate. Autoclaving services available for monthly fee.
• Must have own reliable vehicle and insurance
• Minimum two professional references

• Perform comprehensive foot assessments for patients with various health conditions and foot related concerns
• Provide medical foot care services such as general foot care, nail trimming and filing, diabetic foot care, non-surgical ingrown toenail removal, thick/fungal nail reduction, corn removal and callus reduction
• Educate patients and their families on proper foot hygiene and best routine care practices
• Develop personalized patient care plans in collaboration with clinic team
• Monitor and document changes in patients’ foot health by electronic charting in EMR system
• Develop rapport with patients and ensure positive patient experiences
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control protocols
