QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for candidates who possess:

• A valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) License in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• A Basic or Advanced Foot Care Education Certificate/or readiness to obtain basic foot care theory certificate prior to start date**
• Professional liability insurance.
• Experience working with elderly or cognitively impaired individuals.
• Knowledge of wound care and diabetes management is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• A reliable vehicle and the ability to travel within Ottawa.

As a contracted nurse with Sole Centered Foot Care, you will:

• Provide essential care for conditions such as thick or fungal nails, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, and more.
• Perform comprehensive lower limb assessments and offer health education to patients.
• Document all assessments and treatments accurately using our clinic practice management software.
• Refer patients to other healthcare practitioners when necessary.
• Process payments and ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) best practices.
• Maintain proper sterilization techniques for all foot care instruments.
