Football Coach – Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Football Coach to join our team at Inspire Football Academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching & science and a commitment to developing young athletes in both football skills and personal growth. This role focuses on teaching technical ability, tactical awareness, and promoting values such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Previous experience coaching football or working with children/young people in a sporting context.
  • Strong knowledge of football techniques, formations, and coaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate, educate, and inspire players of all backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Team-oriented with leadership capabilities and strong organisational skills.
  • Coaching qualifications (Level 2 or UEFA B) are highly desirable, but not essential.
  • A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging training programmes tailored to different age groups and ability levels.
  • Lead regular training sessions with a focus on technique, fitness, and tactical development.
  • Teach young athletes game strategies , and decision making
  • Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance; provide constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment that encourages participation and builds confidence.
  • Organise & time management, preparing sessions before arrival.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and coaching staff regarding progress, goals, and expectations.
  • Promote the academy’s values of discipline, focus, leadership, and respect both on and off the pitch.
