Overview
We’re looking for a talented Womenswear Footwear Designer to join our creative team at Boden. Working closely with the Senior Footwear Designer, you’ll design stylish, wearable footwear collections that reflect our brand’s colourful, British heritage. You’ll take ownership from concept to production, combining trend insight, strong design skills, and commercial awareness to create shoes our customer will love.
This position is for a 12 month FTC.
Location: 4 days per week based at our North Acton Office

What You Will Do

• Design and develop seasonal womenswear footwear ranges from concept through to production.
• Collaborate with the Senior Designer on seasonal direction, range building, and reviews.
• Conduct trend, market, and customer research to inform and inspire designs.
• Present ranges confidently to senior leadership.
• Create accurate CADs and tech packs using Adobe Illustrator and PLM.
• Help with fit sessions and make clear design decisions.
• Partner with Buying, Garment Technology, and Merchandising teams to deliver balanced, commercial ranges.
• Reflect Boden’s values and customer in all design work.
• PLM management including, uploading of tech packs, colours, and creating BOMS.
• Confident at working independently.
• Regular comp shop and inspirational shopping trips.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong experience working in womenswear footwear design.
• Detailed portfolio demonstrating creativity and commercial understanding.
• Excellent CAD and Adobe Illustrator skills.
• PLM experience preferable.
• Great eye for detail, proportion, colour, and construction.
• Positive, collaborative approach with strong communication skills.
• Degree in Footwear or Fashion Design (or related discipline).
