They are seeking a Vietnamese Footwear Product Developer, who serves as a vital link between our US Design office and factory developers, guiding the journey from concept to commercialization with expertise and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing prototype completion to meet stringent timelines, offering your invaluable insights from design conception through prototype iterations, and ultimately ensuring the seamless transition into full-scale production, all while upholding the company's unwavering commitment to quality and style. Working location: Thuận Yên Industrial Area, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province Working time: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 05:00 pm Job Description Consistently manages timelines, manufacturing, and material supply chain, projects, and resources in an organized, well-prioritized manner. Provide expertise to ensure the product is developed within established target FOB to achieve company margin goals. Collaborate within a team structure to meet product objectives within established timelines. Offer timely feedback to the US office on design, last feedback, CAD accuracy, costing, product testing, and fit improvements. Serve as project gatekeeper, managing multiple projects from initial rounds to commercialization. Ensure consistency in materials and production techniques across manufacturing bases, including testing for integrity. Address manufacturing capabilities, anticipate and resolve issues, and communicate quality setbacks and timeline risks to the US office. Participate as the product expert in factory meetings, offering improvements for production readiness. Collaborate with suppliers and the US Materials team to develop new materials and manufacturing processes for footwear excellence. Requirements Applicable technical degree preferred – Business administration, engineering, product design, biomechanics, etc. At least 5-7 years experience in footwear development, specific to footwear engineering and manufacturing. Advanced knowledge of the total footwear construction process, including outsole/midsole blueprints, pattern engineering, material properties, costing, and fit. Knowledge of industry tooling processes including 2D and 3D CAD and CAM processes. Development of new footwear materials and innovative manufacturing techniques. Strong knowledge of pattern engineering, tooling processes, and mold making. Deep understanding of the competitive footwear market, coupled with technical problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills in English and Vietnamese with experience communicating product details. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF Reader, with optional experience in Adobe Illustrator Willing to relocate to Tam Kỳ, Quảng Nam is compulsory Benefits Attractive salary Full Social Insurance contribution 100% of salary in a 2-month probation period 13-month bonus Transportation allowance, round-trip flight ticket once a month.
