SAIC is currently seeking a Force Development Planner located at Ford Island in Oahu, HI to support USINDOPACOM’s Force Development and Design (IFDD) Directorate (J732) to support the joint staff to execute activities designed to prepare the joint force to fulfill national defense and security objectives in the present and future. JOB DESCRIPTION: Represent IFDD team during USINDOPACOM J8 experimentation working groups. Represent IFDD team and ensure alignment with the OSD-led Joint Experimentation Summit, which establishes a combined campaign of learning that delivers a structured approach for conducting cutting-edge experiments across the Department of Defense. Represent IFDD team at the Joint Staff (JS) led Joint Experimentation Forum. Effectively communicate in working group meetings in support of Force Development objectives. Effectively lead teams in support of IFDD efforts. Must also be an effective team member. Represent IFDD team to collaborate with USINDOPACOM J8 to synchronize capability needs with IFDD goals and JS development efforts. Monitor capability development requests for resources and synchronizes them with JS initiatives, actions and issues. Participate in the annual JS Joint Warfighting Concept - Concept Required Capability progress assessment. Provide Force Development insights into development of USINDOPACOM wargames, exercises, and experiments. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. Demonstrated experience as an action officer in a four-star command headquarters. Demonstrated knowledge of the USINDOPACOM area of operations. Demonstrated understanding of military processes and procedures for working across Joint Directorates and Component staffs. REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain. Must be a current U.S. Citizen.
