JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ford Certified Diesel Service Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager, Team Leader, or Assistant Service Manager. In addition, the Ford Certified Diesel Service Technician may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer. The ideal Ford Certified Diesel Service Technician has a high school diploma/GED, an unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record, at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience, post secondary automotive training, ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification), and a strong technical performance record.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Post high school tech school or ASE certification desired
  • One year of experience in a dealership or large facility repair organization
  • Three to five years of Ford Certified experience
  • An impressive work ethic
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Can operate a standard-transmission vehicle
