Job Summary The Foreman for the Caterpillar section will oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring the efficient maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy machinery equipment. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining operational productivity in alignment with company objectives. Key Responsibilities The key duties and responsibilities of the Foreman include, but are not limited to: Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians in the Caterpillar section to ensure timely and quality maintenance and repairs. Plan, schedule, and prioritize workshop activities to meet operational deadlines. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations. Conduct inspections, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide technical guidance to the team. Liaise with management to report progress, challenges, and recommendations for workflow improvements. Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Technology, or related field. Experience: 6–8 years in heavy machinery maintenance and repair, with at least 2 years in a foreman role, preferably in Caterpillar machinery. In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar heavy equipment operations and maintenance. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in workshop safety standards and mechanical best practices. Leadership and team management skills. Strong communication and reporting abilities. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. Certifications (Optional ): Heavy machinery operation certification, safety and quality certifications relevant to workshop operations.
