Description The Foreman assists the department Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor with accuracy of all orders and overall shift workflow and efficiency. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Functions as a Shift Leader at the direction of, or in the absence of the Department Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor. Monitor flow of product/materials through the warehouse workflow Provides on the job training for employees on designated shift, in all areas of their job duties Process and complete paperwork for product being received Assists in loading and unloading trucks. Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to display basic arithmetic skills. TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: 1 year of experience working in a warehouse, Electric Pallet Jack experience and/or Produce experience is preferred. Administrative experience is required. Excellent communication and organization skills. Type at least 45 wpm, Proficient in MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel. Must be goal oriented. Minimum 2 years’ experience in produce distribution. Ability to evaluate and develop constructive solutions. Good verbal and written communication skills. WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. EOE/Vet/Disabled
