JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman to oversee construction projects and lead a team of skilled workers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of quality controlled material placement
  • Knowledge of placing rip rap that requires GPS placement
  • Experience in working with backfill material around structures
  • Ability to read and follow design drawings/blue prints
  • Detailed orientated
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Heavy Civil Earthworks Construction
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Only candidates with Supervisory experience will be contacted

Responsibilities
  • Organize your crew to carry out the project plan
  • Assist with the coordination of machine and manpower movement throughout the project
  • Establish and communicate tasks to crew members to ensure they clearly understand their respective roles and responsibilities
  • Directly supervise and ensure quality control testing is completed and accurate
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
  • Attend site meetings when required
  • Perform pre-task and pre-start procedures
  • Conduct Toolbox talks
  • Complete daily reports
  • Other duties as assigned
