Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family We’re on the lookout for an experienced Foreman with strong structures and heavy civil experience to join our team in Gisborne / Hawke’s Bay. If you’re passionate about building critical infrastructure and leading crews on challenging projects, this could be the role for you. We specialise in infrastructure construction with a strong focus on reinforced concrete, delivering projects such as bridges, wharves, water treatment plants, storage tanks, and pipelines. As a working Foreman, you’ll be a key leader on site, combining hands-on expertise with practical leadership to keep work safe, on track, and to a high standard. In addition to the above you will: Manage and coordinate daily activities of your structures crew and contractors on civil projects Ensure work completed from team is per the specifications and timeframes Monitor site safety, ensuring compliance with H&S standards Organise, allocate, and oversee use of equipment, tools, and materials. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and inspectors as required Conduct quality checks and ensure all workmanship meets required standards Maintain accurate records of work completed, incidents, and site progress Troubleshoot problems and resolve on-site issues promptly Drive development and encourage a positive work environment Report progress, issues, and needs to the Site Manager or Project Manager We’re looking for someone with: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Foreman or Supervisory level At least 3 years' experience in heavy civil and structural areas including bridge building, retaining walls, piling, civil structures or commercial building utilising concrete, precast and structural steel Experience in water, pipelines would be highly favourable Holds a Class 1 with WTR Endorsement Able to develop teams and encourage a positive work environment Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
