Are you an experienced automotive professional with a knack for leadership and a passion for cars? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Foreman to lead our team and ensure the efficient operation of our service center. As a Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and timeliness of our services.

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are looking for a Foreman to join the team at Subaru Mentone. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering quality workmanship for the servicing of vehicles within a timely manner. You will also deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction, ensuring Inchcape Retail is the most customer centric automotive retailer in Australia.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct and support the quality control of all serviced vehicles.
  • Complete jobs as allocated by the Workshop Controller.
  • Advise the Workshop Controller immediately of issues that may impact on you completing allocated jobs within the required time frames.
  • Prior to commencing a service, read the RO to ensure you are aware of what needs to be completed and liaise with the Service Advisor if there are concerns.
  • Clock on and off RO’s electronically, so service records and accuracy of productivity and efficiency data can be maintained.
  • Road test all vehicles prior to job commencing and after job completion, noting any areas of concern.
  • Diagnose and fix any technical problems with the vehicle, consulting with the Workshop Controller of any issues.
  • Ensure the Service Advisor and Workshop Controllers are made aware of issues that are outside of the normal servicing requirements and where additional work is required so the customer can be contacted and informed of the issues prior to any works being carried out.
  • Complete all servicing requirements within Manufacturer Guidelines and time frames and Trivett Automotive Retail Standards.
  • Check technician diagnosis to ensure the correct serving is performed.

To be successful the successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in an automotive team leader/technician position
  • Have an Automotive Trade Technician Certificate
  • Be able to complete fast service operations
  • Be flexible with working hours
