Description
Position Summary:  The Foreman position is responsible for all activities that take place on their assigned  job site. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:  • Responsible for all job site management activities of the rigging crew.  • Develops, plans and implements crew and alignment with customer and salesmen  with direction of job.  • Directs workforce to meet operational goals in terms of volume, cost, quality,  safety, and schedule.  • Directly supervises and works with one or more machinery moving crews. • Hands on supervisory role with the ability to effectively move machinery utilizing  forklifts, skates, and jacks (not cranes). • Develop, train and instruct machinery moving crews in best known rigging  operation practices and procedures including safety. • Work closely with safety personnel in coordinating safety training, accident and  injury investigations and reporting and equipment or property damage incidents  investigations and reporting. • Build customer and employee relationships with excellent interpersonal and  communication skills. • Develop highly effective relationships with customers, business partners, crating  operations management, and support staff. • Effectively manage job site projects by organizing all project information to ensure  they are accurate and contain all necessary information.  • Consistently demonstrates professional conduct representative of MEI corporate  mission, vision, and values.  • Must be able to drive to customer job sites and work and direct all activates on  customer job sites.   Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education): for scheduling, co-ordinating and supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required. High School diploma or equivalent, with continuing education in Business, Project  or Construction Management or related degree a plus. • Minimum three to five (3-5) years proven machinery moving foreman experience  or comparable field preferably within the construction, manufacturing or rigging or  machinery moving industry. • Excellent interpersonal, management, supervisory and project management skills. • Highly self-directed and motivated. • Must have extensive experience moving machinery with forklift, skating, leveling  and anchoring of machines. • Must have own hand tools. • Embraces our Values, Vision, Mission, and Company Culture • Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications and other business software (such as  Wright Plan/CRM) as needed. • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record   Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to climb, stand; walk;  sit; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects,  tools or controls; use fingers and hands to adjust straps, move equipment and  perform daily duties; reach with hands and arms; push feet to operate crane; pull  handles and grasp equipment; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the  job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth  perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
