Description Job Title: Foreman Classification: Hourly (Non-exempt) Location: Rosemount, MN Working Schedule: Full-time Position Overview: Support Operations within the manufacturing and production of recycled aluminum ingots, sows, billets or slabs. Overseeing the efficient and effective execution of the manufacturing process by managing daily operations, guiding team members, and ensuring that production goals are met without compromising on safety or quality Compensation and Benefits: The expected starting wage for this position is $26.00/hr. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility. EGA Spectro Alloys provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Paid Time Off Paid Holidays – Plus your birthday 401(k) with company match Annual clothing allowance Comprehensive Medical Plan Free Dental and Vision Health Savings Account (HSA) Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising, leading, training and developing the production line workers and processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards Lead employees and assign work to meet production schedules; provide shift-to-shift continuity and improves the Quality, Safety and Environmental programs Ensure the quality of our finished product by providing timely and effective feedback to associates based on individual quality performance and productivity standards. Actively display managerial courage by proactively addressing issues and conflicts. Along with the Production Lead, conduct or assist in conducting production start-up meetings that effectively communicate the daily goals and previous shift performance. Work with other teams to handle changes within the scheduled production run, ensure assigned tasks are completed, projects are completed on time and the utilization of capacity Coach others on procedures, teamwork, etc., and lead by example. Exemplify a positive attitude and behavior. Identify opportunities and implement productivity improvements Provide input on employee performance management for personnel as required and/or assigned. Maintain detailed production records and reports to track progress and identify areas of improvement as well as ensuring necessary computer entries and documentation are created and/or updated Supports development of training materials and work with the Training Manager to train associates to the necessary skill level Improves operations job knowledge by attending training sessions. Contributes to operations and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results. Maintain production paperwork and documentation as required Positively communicate and interpret company policies and procedures. Assist maintenance and warehouse personnel as directed Report any visible safety hazards, equipment maintenance needs or failures, all accidents, incidents and unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor. Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures: Wear proper protective equipment and clothing Follow all Lock Out Tag Out procedures Ensure all guards and shields on all systems are in place and operating properly (report any discrepancies immediately) Assure that others in your area are applying safe work techniques. Keep work area clean and free from clutter Obey all safety rules pertaining to your work area and forklift use Upon request, may perform additional essential functions as assigned and assist other employees when directed. Education/Experience/Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education such as an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering or related field is preferred Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing environment at least 3-5 years Strong understanding of quality control, workflow processes, and workforce management Demonstrated experience with safety programs and process development Completed Hazwoper and Smoke School Training Active participation in the company’s Chlorine Response Team preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heavy equipment and machinery. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required by production needs. Ability to work in various temperature environments as needed in manufacturing settings. Must have the ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions, operations, safety procedures, and hazardous labels.
