Position Summary: Will be responsible for providing manufacturing and technical support; production training and development for manufacturing shop floor.    Job Description: Manages the work activities of department personnel to achieve maximum quality and productivity of the Department.    ·  Leads and drives good housekeeping and 5S(Visual Management).  ·  Maintains job results through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees ·  Resolves personnel issues to include hiring, counseling, discipline, pay, benefits, and termination ·  Coordinates production requirements with other departments ·  Reviews new or updated production processes and/or test procedures ·  Develops & manages operational metrics for achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives ·  Leads, participates, and drives lean initiatives to support business objectives ·  Teach and coaches employees on basic lean tools and methods ·  Maintains a safe, secure, and productive working environment for department personnel ·  Manages preventative maintenance of all equipment within the department and insures effective use of company resources such as utilities,        tools, consumables, and other supplies ·  Responsible for inventory control/material flow within their assigned areas   Preferred Education and Experience: ·       Extensive knowledge of PEQ product line and/or vessel fabrication process. ·       3-5 Years of Supervisor or Management Experience.    Physical Strain: ·         Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure ·         Self-motivated, ability to work under general supervision
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for managing department personnel activities to maximize quality and productivity, which includes leading housekeeping efforts and resolving all personnel issues from hiring to termination. The foreman will also coordinate production requirements, review new processes, and develop operational metrics for safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
