Title: Utility Foreman Type: Full time, non-exempt Location: Job Site Reports To: Superintendents & Project Managers Schedule: Monday – Friday (Hours) Disclaimer: The following description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential responsibilities of work performed by employees within this classification. It is not a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required. Responsibilities: Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer Installs trench boxes as necessary Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures Ensure proper excavation & compaction procedures are performed Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections & grease equipment at required intervals Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job Manage quality control and production Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner Qualifications: Must be able to communicate directly with clients 1 year of experience or more with wet utility Must be able to operate large excavators with precision Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to work in confined spaces Ability to access secured facilities High attention to detail Physical Requirements: Employee must be physically fit to perform duties of the job in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling (up to 50 lbs.). Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen. Other physical requirements include walking, climbing, balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending or crawling. Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
