The role
We are looking for a qualified and motivated accountant to join our growing Forensic Accounting team. This role involves working on complex investigations, litigation support, fraud detection, and financial dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and a keen interest in forensic work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting forensic investigations into financial irregularities, fraud, and misconduct
  • Analyse financial data, accounting records, and transactions to identify anomalies or suspicious activity.
  • Preparation of reports to be submitted as expert accounting evidence in the context of commercial litigation.
  • Participate in investigations into alleged instances of fraud and other wrongdoing.
  • Preparation of investigative reports to be submitted to regulators and executive level staff.
  • Perform forensic research to trace funds and identify assets for recovery.
  • Assisting in the financial aspects of engagements with clients by tracking costs against budget and communicating issues to PDM.
  • Building strong internal relationships within the advisory department and across other services.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Strong basis in financial analysis.
  • Ability to obtain an understanding financial and business processes together with a knowledge of documentary evidence that would be produced from such processes.
  • Ability to manage oneself and perform work in accordance with budgets.
  • Ability to work flexibly on multiple engagements and help manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills e.g. can manage clients, can manage upwards etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and formulas) and Microsoft Word.
