The Forensic Clinical Care Coordinator at BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services is accountable for the overall effectiveness of patient trajectory through hospital programs and community services, including their supervision, administration, coordination, and successful implementation. Reporting directly to the Clinical Services Manager of the Review Board Department, the Forensic Clinical Care Coordinator leads the hospital evidence at Review Board Hearings and plays a vital leadership role in managing risk, conducting risk assessments, and planning, implementing, and evaluating mental health and addiction services as it relates to the patient’s care. This role carries the overarching responsibility for the delivery of patient trajectory and the coordination of various patient education and patient support programs related to forensic risk, reintegration, and review board services.
