Description
You are an experienced Carpenter Foreman with commercial carpentry expertise, responsible for wood framing, finishing, and concrete foundations while leading crews and coordinating daily site activities. You will ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards, using strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage schedules, materials, and workforce productivity on active construction sites. Responsibilities Ensure overall compliance with Ledcor's health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as occupational health and safety regulations daily Demonstrate the ability to lead teams effectively in the day-to-day execution of work by managing resources, materials, and labour Report to the Superintendent any problems or unforeseen issues that could affect the project plan Train, support, and provide ongoing guidance to all site staff Complete daily paperwork and participate in conducting daily toolbox talks Requirements Minimum of 10 years carpentry experience Previous experience in a Carpenter Foreperson role Experience working on commercial, ICI, or residential projects Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Valid Fall Protection and First Aid certification Work Conditions Monday to Friday, with potential overtime required on weekdays and weekends Work in all weather conditions year-round and be willing to lend a hand where needed Comprehensive benefits package provided by CLAC, including extended health, dental, and prescription drug coverage Candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton Region Additional Information Ledcor Building offers full-service construction for commercial, residential, institutional, and light industrial projects, along with expertise in green building.
