What’s on offer?
We are seeking a Foreperson to lead our Geelong Asphalt Laying crew. Working in the Geelong region of Victoria, this fantastic job opportunity will see you grow and develop a team across a wide range of projects. You will be working for an established and well supported infrastructure services business to deliver various asphalting projects in the region.

Working alongside our supervisors to for ensure safety, cost, quality and time targets are met. You will oversee subcontractor’s deliverables and report to senior management on the performance of your scope of works. We will look to you to:

  • Deliver projects in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies/procedures;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders;
  • Lead & support a culture of Living Safely and oversee HSEQ compliance;
  • Coordinate, plan and organize plant, labour, sub-contractors and suppliers as required;
  • Clearly communicate objectives to your crew and follow up to ensure all expectations are being met;
  • Set expectation and deliver continual improvement in: Safety reporting, plant maintenance, site housekeeping, skills development for your team.

How you’ll connect to the role:
The ideal candidate will be someone who has significant asphalt laying experience and a strong interest in leadership. This opportunity could be well suited to someone who already has experience in leading teams or could be the perfect fit for someone looking to take the next step in their career.

We will be looking for:

  • Prior experience in asphalt laying works
  • Plant operation and maintenance experience
  • Someone willing to take on a challenge and learn new skills
  • A strong work ethic and interest in helping grow the business
  • An ability to work away from home when required and a willingness to undertake over-time/weekend work/night shift work.
