Job Description About the Auckland System Management (ASM) Alliance The ASM is an alliance between HEB Construction, Fulton Hogan and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi to operate and maintain Auckland's motorway network. The Alliance is expected to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers using the Auckland transport system. Estimated project dates are from July 2019 to June 2028. The Opportunity We have a fantastic opportunity to make your mark on a large-scale road maintenance contract. We are looking for a Foreperson to lead the successful onsite delivery of structures and traffic assets maintenance and repairs on the Auckland motorway network. This is a permanent night shift role working within the timeframe of 6:00PM to 6:00AM Sunday to Thursday. What you will be doing: As Foreperson, you will support your crew to successfully deliver signs maintenance, general maintenance, and construction activities. You will have a variety of responsibilities in relation to supporting your team and the delivery of works including: Directing maintenance and minor construction works (asphalt, concrete, drainage, stormwater, barriers, signage). Leading onsite field staff and subcontractors, complete staff inductions. Sourcing materials, plant, and equipment as required. Ensuring work quality, safety, and compliance with specifications, codes, and quality systems. Liaising with Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to resolve issues, delays, and remedial work. Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions. Promoting staff development, performance feedback, and team morale. Consistently championing health and safety and fostering a supportive and inclusive team culture. Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and skills: Proven experience in an operational leadership role. Relevant industry experience. Full Class 1 licence with W, T, R endorsements. Construct Safe. Basic TC. STMS Level 1 is advantageous but not essential.
