Job Location: Whiteley, Hampshire & on-sites worldwide. This role requires the ability and willingness to travel and work on-site globally for approximately 3-5 months of the year.
Our projects take us to various shipyards and vessels across the world and this role will have a significant element of onsite working in shipyards and vessels worldwide. Due to the nature of this role, there will be a projected yearly base salary uplift of around 30% for the time spent working away. Your role will be essential in ensuring successful project execution, contributing significantly to our organisation’s growth and global reputation.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a Foreperson to join our dynamic team at Trimline. In this role, you will oversee projects related to marine interior outfitting, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining our reputation for excellence as we prepare for our upcoming move to a new state-of-the-art facility in Whiteley, Hampshire.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the marine or construction industry.
  • Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing drawings and general ship arrangements.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

This full-time, permanent position provides the successful Foreperson with a competitive starting base salary plus working away allowance for the time spent away on global on-site assignments, which on average would add an on top of the yearly base salary.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough site surveys before and after contract award, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Installation Supervisor to take a leadership role during on-site project delivery, with a keen emphasis on health and safety compliance and quality assurance.
  • Allocate tasks and diligently monitor progress, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of information, tools, and materials to assigned team members and specialist trades
  • Liaise with Logistics and Procurement departments to offer input on priority requirements.
  • Ensure that all work meets Trimline’s high standards of quality and safety.
  • Coordinate with team members to maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding project progress.
