Job Title: Forest School Teacher / Leader
Location: Davenham Primary School, CW9 8JW
Hours: 1:00pm – 3:30pm (Tuesday one week, Wednesday the next, term time only)
Additional Hours: Available through after-school clubs, sessions in other schools, and holiday camps
Pay: £55 – £75 per session (depending on experience)
About the Role
Do you love the outdoors and want to inspire children through hands-on learning in nature? We are looking for a passionate and creative Forest School Teacher / Leader to deliver exciting, nature-based sessions.
This is a part-time role to start with, but there are opportunities to take on extra hours across other schools, after-school clubs, and half-term camps if desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Forest School sessions that build teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Create a safe, supportive environment where children can explore and learn outdoors.
  • Teach outdoor skills such as shelter building, fire safety, and nature crafts.
  • Adapt sessions to meet the needs of all children, including those with SEND.
  • Work with school staff to embed Forest School principles into the wider curriculum.
  • Follow health and safety, risk assessment, and safeguarding requirements at all times.

About You

  • Forest School qualification (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
  • Experience working with children in an outdoor or educational setting.
  • Passion for nature, outdoor learning, and creative teaching.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
