JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled forging engineer with experience in part and tooling design, quoting, and forging manufacturing processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Engineering
  • Proficient with Cad Software e.g. Autocad / Inventor
  • A minimum of 5 years directly supporting forging process development and operations
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T principles
  • Advanced knowledge and strong experience with near-net forgings
  • Knowledge of special alloys e.g. Titanium, Stainless Steel, etc.
  • Knowledge of blasting and scale removing processes
  • Experiences with hot forming forging processes preferred
  • Experience with automation in a forging environment preferred
  • Knowledge of inspection equipment and use
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office Suite
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Part and Die Design
  • Design forge processes for various products
  • Work with design team on development of dies / tools
  • Provide support to forge personnel during the development and production of all forge products
  • Lead in the development of forge process related technical aspects of new program and projects for a successful launch, aligning with APQP while driving to meet indicators including lead time, safety, margin, scrap, quality, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Drive and support Engineering change order and process change system
  • Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by the Engineering Manager
