Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Pull orders accurately, scans and prepares orders for prompt shipment. Supply production with required returnable packaging, WIP product and components.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Windows based computer applications
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Must have tow motor certificate

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Use Forklift and hand cart to move, load and unload all finished goods
  • Move mass production parts from final audit to designated finished goods location
  • Take parts from finished goods inventory to staging area per release
  • Generate packing slip and bill of lading to reflect shipping requirements
  • Ensure totes, dunnage, racks, and other packaging materials are readily available lineside during scheduled production
  • Stage production lines for next run
  • Assist with weekly and monthly finished goods inventory count
  • Strap, wrap and/or properly packages orders for shipment
  • Unload and sort returnable packaging from customer
  • Keep Warehouse area organized and free from hazards (5S)
  • Ensure all components are scanned to proper WIP locations for inventory accuracy.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions and/or quality problems to supervisor immediately

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other duties as may be required

Work Environment/Health and Safety:

  • Use or wear personal protective equipment or clothing required in order to perform the job tasks safely
  • Report to his/her Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective devices of which he/she is aware and which may endanger him/herself or another worker
  • Report to his/her Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager any contravention of the Occupational Health & Safety Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which he/she knows
  • Adhere to KCC 5-S program – Clean plant environment
  • Minimal exposure to noise
  • Fast pace work environment
  • Be aware of all posted warnings and hazards of all surrounding machinery
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 polices and procedures
