Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic qualified Forklift Instructor / Trainer to deliver high-quality forklift training and assessments in accordance with national safety regulations and industry best practices. The instructor will be responsible for ensuring trainees are properly equipped with the knowledge and practical skills required to operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Certified Forklift Instructor / Trainer. RTITB preferred but training can be given.
  • Proven experience operating a variety of forklift types
  • Previous experience in delivering workplace training (ideally in a logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing environment)
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication, instructional, and interpersonal skills
  • Competent in completing and maintaining training documentation
  • Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities
  • Deliver theoretical and practical forklift training for various types of lift trucks (e.g., counterbalance, reach, pallet, etc.)
  • Evaluate and assess trainee competency through written tests and practical assessments
  • Maintain accurate training records and issue certification in accordance with relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct refresher training and re-certification programs as required
  • Promote a safety-first culture and encourage adherence to site safety policies
  • Inspect training equipment and maintain training area in a safe and orderly condition
  • Provide feedback to trainees and management on performance and progress
