JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - Forklift Operator – Full Time – Kansas City, KS Starting pay $24.75/HR This position will ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of goods and materials into and throughout the plant by utilizing the material management systems in the KCK facility. RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include, but are not limited to the following) LEAN Manufacturing-Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problems solving. Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. Scan inventory movement into Vehicle Mounted Units and interpret data output pull systems integrity. Operate powered trucks following safety guidelines. Must be willing and able to work currently available shift(s), overtime, and weekends if required. Ability to perform basic math skills. Ability to draw conclusions based on analysis of data from multiple sources. FOR ALL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation) Must be willing and able to bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time. Must be willing and able to lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment and requires repetitive motions. Must be willing and able to stand, bend, reach overhead, and twist for long periods of time. Must be willing and able to stand 8-12 hours a day on hard floor.
