JOB DESCRIPTION

An excellent opportunity has opened up at our Cork Depot for a Logistics Operative. The successful applicant will be responsible for scanning and offloading inbound and outbound freight, house-keeping and general transit terminal activity. Shift: 09:00-18:00

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid forklift licence is essential
• Previous experience as a forklift operator is essential
• Excellent written and spoken English skills essential
• Logistics / Transport Background desirable
• Strong Communication skills required
• Excellent written and spoken English skills essential

• Hall pick-up
• Loading and unloading of goods
• Handling of various forklift trucks and Scanner
• Checking of goods consignments for damage / transport prohibitions / hazardous goods labeling / dimensions / packaging
• Scanning and moving goods
• Load securing / load distribution / product-appropriate loading
• Documentation of interfaces
• General housekeeping within the department.
• Support the goals and targets set out by your Manager.
• Compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations (handling of hazardous goods, health and safety at work, load securing, fire protection, etc.)
