About the Role: We are looking to welcome an energetic self-starter, mechanically inclined and detail-oriented Forklift Driver to join our Edmonton Shipping Team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and embraces our Continuous Improvement working culture. Responsibilities: * Pick and stage orders in the warehouse * Load and unload trucks * Operate an electric sit-down counterbalance and Class 2 reach truck safely and efficiently * Use barcode system to locate product in the warehouse * Unload production lines and put away product in the warehouse as required * Ensure all equipment is operating properly and inform appropriate personnel of any problems * Count inventory as required * Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating a forklift * Comfortable working outside from time to time sorting pallets and bringing pallets to production * Other general warehouse duties as required Qualifications: * Current forklift certificate class 1, 4, 5 required * 3-5 years of forklift experience required * Certification with high-reach forklift required * Certification with Class 2 reach truck required * Intermediate first aid is an asset * Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions * Ability to work well with people in a team environment * Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment * Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, as this position requires lifting, bending, and moderate physical exertion * Ability to multi-task * A positive ‘can do’ attitude GLBC is fully committed to two things – our employees and our customers.
