POSITION OVERVIEW:

A Forklift Operator & EWP Cutter’s main objective is to cut engineered wood products and operate a forklift safely while loading or unloading orders. This position will work at the Engineered Wood Division located at 25284 Fraser Hwy, Aldergrove, BC.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Principles, theories, and practices of forklift operation. - required.
• Current forklift certification for the worksite – an asset.
• Ability to operate a chainsaw in a safe manner.
• Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, both written and verbal.
• Run, maneuver, navigate, and operate forklift within confines of worksite.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail a must.
• Must have a positive attitude and able to handle difficult situations professionally.

• Operating a forklift to inspect, tally & put credits away, sort timber, and check loads.
• Safely cutting engineered wood products with a chainsaw with minimal waste.
• Building orders for either a roll-off drop, forklift unload, or HIAB unload at job sites.
• Build loads with accuracy of all lumber grades.
• Assemble and band loads together to ensure safe handling by other workers.
• Adhere to safe workplace policies and procedures, along with safety standards.
• Responsible for meeting productivity requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
• Stock bins with designated lumber products.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
