Description

Forklift Operator – 1st Shift – Abilene, KS Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator for our Abilene West facility in Abilene, KS. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations * Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy * Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used * Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate * Load and unload trucks * Flexibility to work with other departments and operate other equipment * Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: * Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one * Experience safely operating a forklift or similar equipment helpful * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Understand team concepts and be a strong team player * Ability to excel in fast-paced, high-pressure situations * Ability to use and understand AS400 * Ability to read blueprints, use tape measure, and read calipers At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
