ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Forklift license
  • Current Drivers license
  • Ability to work within cold storage environments
  • Knowledge of warehousing/stores
  • Excellent time management skills
Responsibilities

Receival & Dispatch

  • Communicate with drivers to ensure safe docking
  • Unload incoming trucks
  • Check off stock as per transport paperwork.
  • Check off pallet count as per paperwork.
  • Record & communicate any discrepancies in paperwork
  • Label all incoming stock with a date code and GRN label.
  • Move stock to the relevant stock room or required location and rotate stock into date order.
  • Communicate delivery of stock to the relevant area
  • Load trucks for dispatch to retail customers or the Market Stand.
  • Be vigilant at all times that the correct stock has been picked and loaded for dispatch.

Order Fulfilment

  • Print out daily orders for picking, and prioritise workload accordingly.
  • Collect stock from storage and palletise to customer specification as instructed (pick, re-pack, stack and label).
  • Print out all required labels to meet customer specifications.
  • Check stock quality is acceptable for customer orders and communicate any issues to line management.
  • Relocate stock to a safe holding area ready for dispatch (cool room, in Warehouse racking or despatch area).

Servicing Markets

  • Respond to communications for the market sales team for late orders and stock top-ups.
  • Locate stock and load market transport, record product type and either transfer stock or communicate to the stock control team.
  • Transport stock to Brisbane market floor/warehouse if required

Other duties

  • Keep inside packaging areas tidy and safe
  • Keep outside pallet areas tidy and safe
  • If during your daily duties, you notice a product that doesn’t meet the correct labelling requirement (a date code, GRN label, grower traceability) notify the stock management team and rectify the problem.
  • Rotate stock into date order to ensure FIFO stock control (First In, First Out).
  • Be vigilant of open cool room doors, high cool room temperatures, path obstruction etc. Ensure that product quality is always optimised.
  • Be flexible to cover FLT duties in other locations if required
  • Unloading Pallet/ Bin trucks from CHEP
  • Removing all packaging and raw material waste to the waste area
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance and cleanliness of the forklift used operated that day.
  • Ensure all forklifts are returned to the battery area and charged if possible.
