Our Client is currently looking for an experienced Forklift / Yard Person in Moncton New Brunswick

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift/Yard Person to join our team at our lumber yard. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth yard operations by safely operating forklifts, organizing materials, and assisting both customers and production teams. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Safely operate forklifts and other yard equipment.

Load and unload lumber, panels, and building materials from trucks.

Organize and maintain the lumber yard to ensure a clean and accessible work area.
*
Pull and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery.
*
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and quality.
*
Assist customers and drivers with loading when required.
*
Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
*
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
*
Work independently and collaboratively to ensure efficient daily operations.
Requirements
*
Valid forklift operator certification
*
Previous experience in a lumber yard or similar environment (preferred).
*
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
*
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
*
Good communication and customer service abilities.
*
Basic math skills for measuring and material handling.
*
Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
